KeePass Password Safeは、Windows、Linux、macOSなどに対応した、軽量で使いやすい無料のオープンソースパスワードマネージャー。
すべてのパスワードは、高度に暗号化されたデータベースに保存され、1つのマスターキーまたはキーファイルでロックされる。そのため、1つのマスターパスワードを覚えておくか、キーファイルを選択するだけで、データベース全体のロックを解除することができる。
データベースは、現在知られている中で最も安全で優れた暗号化アルゴリズムであるAESとTwofishを使用して暗号化されている。
KeePass Password Safeで、保存されるエントリーはツリー形式で分類整理することができる。エントリーにはタイトル、ユーザー名、パスワードのほか、URL、メモ、添付ファイル等を含めることができ、変更履歴も保存される。
