  1. Add support for compiling SQLite to WASM<\/a>
    \n and running it in web browsers. NB: The WASM build and its interfaces
    \n are considered \"beta\" and are subject to minor changes if the need
    \n arises. We anticipate finalizing the interface for the next release.\n<\/li>\n
  2. Add the recovery extension<\/a> that might be able to recover some content
    \n from a corrupt database file.\n<\/li>\n
  3. Query planner enhancements:\n
      \n
    1. Recognize covering indexes<\/a> on tables with more than 63 columns where
      \n columns beyond the 63rd column are used in the query and\/or are
      \n referenced by the index.\n <\/li>\n
    2. Extract the values of expressions contained within expression indexes<\/a>
      \n where practical, rather than recomputing the expression.\n <\/li>\n
    3. The NOT NULL and IS NULL operators (and their equivalents) avoid
      \n loading the content of large strings and BLOB values from disk.\n <\/li>\n
    4. Avoid materializing a view on which a full scan is performed
      \n exactly once. Use and discard the rows of the view as they are computed.\n <\/li>\n
    5. Allow flattening of a subquery that is the right-hand operand of
      \n a LEFT JOIN in an aggregate query.\n <\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n
    6. A new typedef named sqlite3_filename<\/a> is added and used to represent
      \n the name of a database file. Various interfaces are
      \n modified to use the new typedef instead of \"char*\". This interface
      \n change should be fully backwards compatible, though it might cause
      \n (harmless) compiler warnings when rebuilding some legacy applications.\n<\/li>\n
    7. Add the sqlite3_value_encoding()<\/a> interface.\n<\/li>\n
    8. Security enhancement: SQLITE_DBCONFIG_DEFENSIVE<\/a> is augmented to prohibit
      \n changing the       schema_version<\/a>. The schema_version
      \n becomes read-only in defensive mode.\n<\/li>\n
    9. Enhancements to the PRAGMA integrity_check<\/a> statement:\n
        \n
      1. Columns in non-STRICT tables with TEXT affinity should not contain numeric values.\n <\/li>\n
      2. Columns in non-STRICT tables with NUMERIC affinity should not
        \n contain TEXT values that could be converted into numbers.\n <\/li>\n
      3. Verify that the rows of a WITHOUT ROWID<\/a> table are in the correct order.\n <\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n
      4. Enhance the VACUUM INTO<\/a> statement so that it honors they
        \n         PRAGMA synchronous<\/a> setting.\n<\/li>\n
      5. Enhance the sqlite3_strglob()<\/a> and sqlite3_strlike()<\/a> APIs so that they are able
        \n to accept NULL pointers for their string parameters and still generate a sensible
        \n result.\n<\/li>\n
      6. Provide the new SQLITE_MAX_ALLOCATION_SIZE<\/a> compile-time option for limiting
        \n the size of memory allocations.\n<\/li>\n
      7. Change the algorithm used by SQLite's built-in pseudo-random number generator (PRNG)
        \n from RC4 to Chacha20.\n<\/li>\n
      8. Allow two or more indexes to have the same name as long as they are all in
        \n separate schemas.\n<\/li>\n
      9. Miscellaneous performance optimizations result in about 1% fewer CPU cycles
        \n used on typical workloads.<\/p>\n
