It automatically corrects grammar, punctuation, and filler words as you speak, reducing the need for manual editing. This experience is powered by on-device small language models (SLMs) so ensure fast and private processing. To use it, launch voice access and complete setup if you\u2019re a first-time user. Fluid dictation is enabled by default \u2013 you can check or toggle it via the settings flyout in the top-right corner or simply say \u201cturn on\/off fluid dictation.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/softantenna.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/09\/voice-access-fluid-dictation.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1280\" height=\"302\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-130647\" \/><\/p>\n<p>It works in any text app but is disabled in secure fields like passwords or PINs to protect your privacy. Fluid dictation in voice access is currently available in all English locales and is available on all Copilot + PCs.<\/p>\n<p><strong>FEEDBACK: Please file feedback in Feedback Hub (WIN + F) under Accessibility &gt; Voice access.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Making Windows Studio Effects available on additional cameras<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>We are working to bring the Windows Studio Effects experience from integrated laptop cameras to a broader range of camera hardware, helping you stay professional and look your best across more setups. On<span>\u00a0<\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/aka.ms\/copilotpluspcs\">supported Copilot+ PCs<\/a>, we are rolling out the ability to use Studio Effect\u2019s AI-powered camera enhancements with an additional, alternative camera \u2013 such as a USB webcam or your laptop\u2019s built-in rear camera.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/softantenna.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/09\/Studio-Effects-USB-Cameras.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1280\" height=\"958\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-130648\" \/><\/p>\n<p>To get started, navigate to<span>\u00a0<\/span><strong>Settings &gt; Bluetooth &amp; devices &gt; Cameras<\/strong><span>\u00a0<\/span>and select your preferred camera from the connected cameras list. Then, open the advanced camera options menu to find the new \u201cUse Windows Studio Effects\u201d toggle. Hovering over a file with your mouse in File Explorer Home will display commands like<span>\u00a0<\/span><strong>Open file location<\/strong><span>\u00a0<\/span>and<span>\u00a0<\/span><strong>Ask Copilot about this file.<\/strong><span>\u00a0<\/span>You will be able to try out the Copilot integration and attach files easily. Performance issues can have multiple causes, so if you\u2019re continuing to experience issues, please let us know by filing feedback, including as many details as possible.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>[Taskbar &amp; System Tray]<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Fixed an issue which could cause the app preview windows in the taskbar to become misaligned (away from the app icon you\u2019d clicked \/ hovered over) after a display resolution change.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>[File Explorer]<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Fixed an issue where with certain apps installed, when you right clicked you may see the context menu unexpectedly switch back and forth with each right click between the normal initial view and \u201cShow more options\u201d.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>[Settings]<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Fixed an issue causing Settings &gt; System &gt; Storage &gt; Temporary files to get stuck when scanning files.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>[Other]<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Fixed an issue causing an event saying \u201cThe \u201cMicrosoft Pluton Cryptographic Provider\u201d provider was not loaded because initialization failed\u201d with error 57 to appear in Event Viewer for some Insiders after boot.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Known issues<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>[General]<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>[<strong>NEW<\/strong>] We\u2019re investigating an issue causing some PCs to bugcheck (green screen) while hibernating after the previous flight. This may make it look like hibernation has shut down your PC. We recommend not hibernating your PC until this is fixed if you are experiencing this issue.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>[File Explorer]<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>For some users, the Shared section in File Explorer Home may be visible even if there is no content to display.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>[For developers]<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\n<strong>[NEW]<span>\u00a0<\/span><\/strong><a href=\"https:\/\/devblogs.microsoft.com\/pix\/download\/\">PIX on Windows<\/a>\u00a0is unable to play back GPU captures on this OS version. This will be addressed by a new PIX release, estimated to arrive by the end of September. In the meantime, if you are impacted, you can use the \u201cSend Feedback\u201d button in PIX or contact us on the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/discord.com\/invite\/BBZyTEA3MR\">DirectX Discord server<\/a>\u00a0and we can help provide private builds.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>[Audio]<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\n<strong>[NEW]<\/strong><span>\u00a0<\/span>Some Windows Insiders in the Dev and Beta Channels are experiencing an issue where audio stops working and Device Manager shows one or more devices with a yellow exclamation mark, including \u201cACPI Audio Compositor\u201d and others. Selecting Properties on these devices will show \u201cWindows cannot load the device driver for this hardware. The driver may be corrupted or missing.\u201d If you are impacted by this issue, you can follow these instructions to get back into a working state:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Right-click on the device with a yellow exclamation mark in Device Manager and select \u201cUpdate driver\u201d.<\/li>\n<li>Choose \u201cBrowse my computer for drivers\u201d and then \u201cLet me pick from a list of available drivers on my computer\u201d.<\/li>\n<li>Select the driver from the list with the most recent date and click \u201cNext\u201d. If you are presented with a list of common hardware types instead of one or more specific drivers, this device is not related to this issue.<\/li>\n<li>This device should be repaired and no longer show a yellow exclamation mark in Device Manager. If it continues to show a yellow exclamation mark, the yellow exclamation mark is not related to this issue.<\/li>\n<li>Repeat these steps for each device with a yellow exclamation mark.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>[Xbox Controllers]<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Some Insiders are experiencing an issue where using their Xbox Controller via Bluetooth is causing their PC to bugcheck. Here is how to resolve the issue. Open Device Manager by searching for it via the search box on your taskbar. Once Device Manager is open, click on \u201cView\u201d and then \u201cDevices by Driver\u201d. Find the driver named \u201coemXXX.inf (XboxGameControllerDriver.inf)\u201d where the \u201cXXX\u201d will be a specific number on your PC.
