Google、新型Chromebook「Pixel」発表

Googleより新型Chromebook「Pixel」の発表がありました(製品ページ、Google Chrome Blog、TechCrunch JAPAN)。これまでのChromebookが安価路線だったのに比べて、Pixel は1299ドルと結構高価格です。

そのかわり12.85インチ、2560x1700ピクセル(239ppi)という高密度ディスプレイを搭載しています。この密度は、高解像度ノートの代名詞であるMacBook Pro Retinaの 220ppiを上回っているので驚きです(しかもタッチスクリーンを搭載)。

CPUはCore i5を搭載、1TBのGoogle Driveが3年間無料とその他の部分でも抜かりがありません。デザイン的には四角いですね。
