v6.50 - September 1, 2026
Improvements and fixes
- v6.50 is a major upgrade over v6.00, featuring numerous new features, improvements, and fixes. See the alpha and beta versions below for the complete list of changes.
- Added the ability to copy a note to the clipboard from the right-click menu.
- Added [Ctrl + Shift + B] to create a backup without showing the initial prompt or opening the backup folder and selecting the resulting ZIP file when the backup is complete.
- Fixed an issue affecting the loading of 'reddit.com' RSS feeds and possibly other feeds.

v6.50b2 - August 4, 2026
Fixes
v6.50b2, together with the preceding beta and alpha releases, is a major update. Check out the extensive list of changes introduced in the alpha versions below, especially the new Dock Strip and Icon-Only mode.
- Fixed an issue that prevented the & character from being used in Keyboard Launcher internet searches.
- Fixed a notification positioning bug that prevented update notifications from displaying correctly in v6.50a3 and v6.50b.
- Fixed a crash that occurred when Ctrl+B was pressed with no shortcut selected.

v6.50b - June 18, 2026
Improvements and fixes
v6.50b, together with the preceding alpha releases, is a major update. Check out the extensive list of changes introduced in the alpha versions below, especially the new Dock Strip and Icon-Only mode.
- Start all shortcuts that share the same tag by entering # (Hash) followed by the tag name, replacing the previous "t " syntax. For example, enter #browsers to launch all shortcuts tagged with "browsers".
- Create new notes from the Keyboard Launcher by entering ">" (greater-than sign) followed by the note text, replacing the previous "n " syntax.
- Undo/Redo (Ctrl+Z/Ctrl+Y) operations now have a visual indicator, especially useful when undoing or redoing shortcut movements across shrunk and folded containers.
- Added the [Shift+W] keyboard shortcut to manually refresh the weather displayed in the Title Bar or Dock Strip. This can be useful if the weather information does not update correctly.
- Added the [Ctrl+Shift+E] shortcut to export notes.
- Fixed an issue where shortcuts did not properly align to the grid when dragged across the workspace or within containers.
- Fixed an issue that resurfaced in a recent alpha build or Windows update, where the workspace would fail to dock after resuming from hibernation.
- Fixed an issue that could cause a container to move unexpectedly after being expanded when the workspace is unlocked for editing.
- Fixed an issue that prevented the workspace from collapsing when a shortcut was dragged onto another executable shortcut to launch it.
- The 'Run in Background' setting is now respected when dragging files from Windows or various workspace shortcuts onto other shortcuts to launch or process them.
- Fixed issues with Open File Location (Alt+O), including failures to select the target file in Explorer and attempts to open unavailable files on disconnected removable drives.
- Fixed an issue that could cause shortcut positions to shift slightly when undoing a move (Ctrl+Z).
- Fixed a visual glitch that could cause Dock Strip text to be drawn on top of itself under certain conditions.
- Fixed a flickering issue that could occur when dragging text from various sources into a container's note.
- Fixed a bug where some Keyboard Launcher operations were missing from the history log.
- Fixed a bug introduced in the previous version affecting "speed-launched" (1 to 9) shortcuts that require confirmation or have 'Prompt for Parameters' enabled.

v6.50a3 - Alpha 3 Testing Release - June 6, 2026
Improvements and fixes
- Custom shortcut icons are now cached. This is especially useful for Windows UWP apps that change the executable path with each update.
- Notification dialogs are now centered relative to the calling window.
- Added the [Shift+T] keyboard shortcut to refresh the title bar. This can be useful if weather information or other title bar data fails to update correctly.
- Speed Launch and the name of the program being launched are now centered on the screen and are no longer positioned relative to the workspace.
- Restored single-click launching for new installations.
- Minor redesign of the Container Library start page (F6).
- Renamed the Note's Save menu item to Export.
- Improved startup performance for when the workspace contains many shortcuts that use direct file icons instead of cached ones.
- Fixed a crash that could occur when adding a URL to the workspace from the menu.
- Fixed an issue where the time displayed in the workspace title was not updated immediately after undocking.
- Fixed a problem that could sometimes cause the Speed Launch dialog to appear empty.
- Fixed several issues related to tags, including entering shortcut tags in the Shortcut Properties dialog and launching multiple shortcuts that share the same tag via Tag Start, the Keyboard Launcher, and other methods.
- Fixed cases where multiple selected containers could not be moved using the keyboard (Ctrl+Arrow Keys).
- Fixed an alignment issue when moving shortcuts with the arrow keys beyond the right edge of a workspace or container.
- Fixed a bug that could cause detached shrunk containers to reattach incorrectly, resulting in graphical corruption.
- Fixed an issue that could cause the workspace to tuck away while editing subjects in Subject Tracker.
- Fixed a bug where switching to an invisible border did not automatically set the border size to Large.

v6.50a - Alpha Testing Release - November 2, 2025
A major upgrade introducing dozens of bug fixes, enhanced features, new key functionalities, the Dock Strip, Icon-Only Mode, live Weather support, and much faster startup and performance.
Dock Strip
Replaces the old "Tab" mode with a much more functional Dock Strip. View key system information, weather, and more, while easily accessing your workspace through the Dock Strip.
Now supports all Title Bar macros, including CPU usage, memory, battery info, date/time, and more.
Adds support for live weather information, configurable via the new Weather Panel in Settings → Weather.
Works both vertically or horizontally and can be enlarged.
Enabled by default for new installations and upgrades (can be disabled in Settings → Dock → Style).
The previous collapsed state is now called Line Mode, available in small, normal, and large sizes.
The "Flash" indicator for Line Mode now supports large dock lines.
Dock Strip and Dock Line colors can be set independently from workspace background and foreground colors.
Multiple updates were made to the Dock settings to support this feature.
Icon-Only Mode
Major UI improvement: hide shortcut labels and show icons only for a more compact, modern workspace.
Quickly toggle with Ctrl + I or via the Shortcut Mini-Toolbar.
Create a grid of shortcut icons using the new menu option or the Ctrl + Shift + G shortcut.
Many fixes for icon drop locations and keyboard navigation to accommodate the new Icon Only mode.

Improvements and fixes
- New: Colored labels for workspace organization. Create labels via Right-click menu → New → Label → Red/Green/Blue/Yellow.
- Faster startup, shortcut launching and sorting, plus overall code optimizations.
- Quick reminders with @: type @ followed by minutes (0–99) and the reminder text (using "r ..." to do the same is no longer an option)
- Web search with ?: type ? followed by your query (using "s ..." to start a web search will no longer work).
- Improved RSS compatibility. Previously unsupported feeds should now load correctly.
- Adjusted shortcut tooltip display.
- Edit/Flip tag menu options now appear only in the workspace tag menu (not in container tag menus).
- Updated container library welcome page.
- Removed the "Search on Space" option from the Settings dialog.
- New 'Cocoa' color theme.
- Fixed: New items could sometimes appear in the upper-left corner instead of at the mouse pointer.
- Shortcut Properties dialog fixes:
* Duplicate tags can no longer be added.
* Selecting multiple shortcuts could show tags from an unselected shortcut.
* Empty command shortcuts can no longer be saved.

v6.00 - May 16, 2025
Improvements and fixes
- Includes all changes, fixes, and new features from versions v6.00b, v6.00b1, v6.00b2 and v6.00b3 listed below.
- Release version.
- Fixed an issue where editing a shrunk reminder caused the container size to become distorted.
- Fixed a bug where cloning a shortcut to a new container did not set the shortcut's icon as the shrunk container's icon.
- Reminders are now added to the workspace as folded containers showing the reminder time and date in the container's title-bar (this can later be changed).

v6.00b3 - April 20, 2025

- Additional changes:
- Added the ability to specify the folder for the backup Zip file when starting the backup process from the command line using the new /path [path] command line argument.
- Added the ability to launch executable files from the Keyboard Launcher by typing the full file path (e.g., c:\path\file.exe]) or the exe will be launched from folders in the Windows PATH environment variable (e.g., cmd.exe, explorer.exe).
- Other minor changes.

- Multiple fixes and enhancements to improve the functionality and display when dragging content from different applications and dropping it into the workspace or various containers::
- Expanded support for additional text formats, enabling you to drag content from previously unsupported apps, such as Notepad++, directly into the workspace to create notes.
- Dropping text into note containers now automatically scrolls to the last line.
- The title now updates to provide more detailed information about the activity when text is dragged from various programs into the workspace, whether using the [Shift] key or not, to create URLs, reminders, or notes.
- The workspace will remain undocked until the dragging operation is complete and the mouse button is released.
- Resolved an issue where dragging .txt files into the workspace while holding the [Shift] key to create new note containers resulted in incorrect note container colors.
- Fixed an issue where the workspace failed to collapse after dragging pictures and text from Explorer into the workspace or containers.
- Fixed an issue where an incorrect title bar was displayed when dragging items into shortcuts that couldn't process the content. The "no drop" cursor now appears when dragging objects over shortcuts that cannot accept them.
- Addressed a bug where, under certain scenarios, dragging text from different applications could disrupt the workspace's shortcut order and size if it was unlocked for editing.
