2025年8月末に配信されたWindows 11のプレビューアップデートKB5064081を適用した一部の環境で、ロック画面のパスワードアイコンが非表示になる問題が発生していることがわかりました(Windows Latest)。この不具合は 複数のサインイン方法(PIN、指紋、パスワードなど)を設定しているユーザーに限定して発生しています。

MicrosoftはKB5064081の既知の不具合に以下のような項目を追加しています。
After installing the August 2025 non-security preview update (KB5064081) or later updates, you might notice that the password icon is not visible in the sign-in options on the lock screen. If you hover over the space where the icon should appear, you’ll see that the password button is still available. Select this placeholder to open the password text box and enter your password. After entering your password, you can sign in normally.
2025年8月の非セキュリティプレビュー更新プログラム (KB5064081) 以降をインストールすると、ロック画面のサインインオプションにパスワードアイコンが表示されない場合があります。アイコンが表示されるべき場所にカーソルを合わせると、パスワードボタンが引き続き利用可能であることが確認できます。このプレースホルダーを選択するとパスワード入力ボックスが開き、パスワードを入力できます。パスワード入力後、通常通りサインインできます。
パスワードアイコンは消えているように見えるものの、実際には「透明なボタン」として存在し、アイコンがあるはずの位置にカーソルを合わせてクリックすることで、パスワード入力欄を呼び出せるとのこと。完全にログインできなくなるわけではありませんが、ユーザーに混乱をまねく不具合です。
Microsoftは、アイコンがあるはずの場所をクリックする方法を回避策として提案しています。
