Microsoftは昨日、Windows 11の最新の機能アップデート「Windows 11 Moment 2」の提供を開始しました。
Microsoftの公式ブログの情報から、特にAIを搭載した新しいBingのWindows 11タスクバーへの搭載が注目されていますが、これは同社の検索エンジンとブラウザの広告に過ぎないとの指摘が行われています(Neowin)。
Moment 2をインストールすると、タスクバーの検索ボックの外観が変わり新しいBingのロゴが表示されます。この検索ボックスから直接Bingチャットボットを呼び出すことができるようにも思えますが、実際は従来のWindows検索が開くだけで、質問を入力してもWindows検索の結果が表示されるだけなのです。
検索ホームに表示された「新しいBingで試す」をクリックすると、Microsoft EdgeでBingのホームページが表示されるだけで、Microsoftのマーケティングワードと比較すると、かなり期待外れの実装だといえるかもしれません。
