Microsoftは本日、Windows 10 Version 1809(October 2018 Update)用の累積アップデートKB4482887を公開しました(Neowin)。

KB4482887はRelease Previewユーザーに対して先行して公開されテストされていた更新プログラムです。Windows 10 Version 1607/1703/1709/1803向けの定例外の累積アップデートは先月末に公開済みとなっています。

更新プログラムはシステムの品質を改善するもので、新たな機能は追加されていません。Windows Updateの「更新プログラムのチェック」あるいは、Microsoft Update Catalogからファイルをダウンロードし手動でインストールすることができます。

Version 1809用の累積アップデートKB4482887では、Spectre variant 2の緩和策のパフォーマンスが向上する可能性があるWindows向けの「Retpoline」の導入や、アクションセンターが画面の反対側に突然表示される問題の解決、日本の元号名の最初の文字が略語として認識されず、日付解析の問題が発生する可能性がある問題の修正などが行われています。
