マルチプラットフォームの動画再生ソフト「VLC 2.0.2」がリリースされています。2.0.2では、MacOSのRetinaディスプレイサポートが追加され、HiDPIでくっきりはっきり動画を再生できるようになったみたいです。
2.0.2の変更点は以下の通り。マイナーバージョンアップですが積極的にいろいろ変更されていますね。

- Fix video output for old graphic cards on Windows XP, which are using DirectX
- Fix video output on old Macs, notably PowerPC and GMA950 intel Macs.
- Support for HiDPI, aka Retina Display
