MicrosoftがiOS / OS X / Android用の新しい「Remote Desktop」アプリを今月末ごろに公開予定であることが明らかにされました(Microsoft News Center、MacRumors、ZDNet)。
Microsoftの発表から該当する部分を引用すると以下の通り。
Further, with Windows Server 2012 R2 Microsoft is introducing the Microsoft Remote Desktop app, available for download in application stores later this month, to provide easy access to PCs and virtual desktops on a variety of devices and platforms, including Windows, Windows RT, iOS, OS X and Android.
「Windows, Windows RT, iOS, OS X and Android」とあるのでWindows版のリモートデスクトップクライアントも刷新されそうです。
現在、Mac用の公式Remote Desktop Clientアプリは存在しますが、長い間更新されていない状態です。Mountain Lionで終了時にハングアップする不具合に困っていたので、これが解消されるなら大歓迎。期待して待ちましょう。
