トイザらスが10月21日から7インチの子供向けAndroidタブレット「 Tabeo 」を発売するそうです(mashable、GIGAZINE、ITmedia)。価格は149.99ドル。

サイズは223×142×12.2ミリ。最近購入したMOMO9と比較すると額縁の分一回り大きいです。その他のスペックは結構いい勝負かな。ペアレンタルコントロールや、ゲームやアプリをダウンロードできるストアが「Tabeo Store」に限定されるなど、子供向け機能はしっかり搭載されています。日本でも需要がありそうだけど今のところ発売されるかどうか分かりせん。
