Microsoftは本日、Windows 10 Version 1809(Windows 10 October 2018 Update)用の累積アップデートKB4476976を公開しました(Neowin)。
Microsoftは先週、月例アップデートの後にWindows 10 Version 1703/1709/1803用の累積アップデートを公開しており、今回のVersion 1809用の更新プログラムはそれに対応するものとなっています。
なお第3週および第4週に公開されるオプションの品質アップデートは、第2週に公開される月例更新とは異なり、不要な場合はインストールせずにすませることも可能です。その場合必要な修正は、翌月の月例更新で行われることになります。
更新プログラムはシステムの品質を改善するもので、新たな機能は追加されていません。Windows Updateの「更新プログラムのチェック」あるいは、Microsoft Update Catalogからファイルをダウンロードし手動でインストールすることができます。

Version 1809用の累積アップデートKB4476976では、Microsoft Edgeが特定のディスプレイドライバで動作しなくなる問題の修正や、サードパーティのアプリケーションでホットスポットの認証が困難になる可能性がある問題の修正、日本のカレンダーの日付フォーマットに関する問題の修正などが行われています。

更新プログラムには既知の不具合として、データベースに32文字を超える列名があるとMicrosoft Access 97ファイル形式のMicrosoft Jetデータベースを使用するアプリケーションを開くことができない場合があるという問題、Microsoft EdgeでローカルIPアドレスを使用しているWebページが表示できない場合があるという問題がリストアップされています。
それぞれ回避方法も掲載されていますので、インストールする場合は事前に確認しておくことをお勧めします。
