Microsoft、Windows 11 KB5055523にブルースクリーンが発生する深刻な不具合が存在することを認める

MicrosoftはWindows 11 Version 24H2の月例更新プログラムKB5055523に、ブルースクリーン(BSOD)が発生する深刻な不具合が存在することを認めました(Neowin)。

アップデートをインストールしてデバイスを再起動すると、SECURE_KERNEL_ERRORを示すエラーコード0x18Bのブルースクリーン例外が発生することがあるとのこと。

KB5055523の既知の不具合に以下のような項目が追加されています。

Blue screen exception(All users)

Symptom:

After installing this update and restarting your device, you might encounter a blue screen exception with error code 0x18B indicating a SECURE_KERNEL_ERROR.

Workaround:

This issue is mitigated using Known Issue Rollback (KIR). Please note that it might take up to 24 hours for the resolution to propagate automatically to consumer devices and non-managed business devices and business devices that are not managed by IT departments. Restarting your Windows device might help the resolution apply to your device faster.

For enterprise-managed devices managed by IT departments that have installed the affected update and encountered this issue, IT administrators can resolve it by installing and configuring the Group policy listed below. The special Group Policy can be found in Computer Configuration > Administrative Templates > <Group Policy name listed below>.

Important: You will need to install and configure the Group Policy for your version of Windows to resolve this issue. You will also need to restart your device(s) to apply the group policy setting.

Microsoftは、不具合が発生した部分だけを元に戻すKnown Issue Rollback (KIR)を使用して、一時的な修正を行っています。

ホームユーザーは特別な対応をする必要はなく、システムを再起動すれば修正が24時間以内に反映されます。ただし、IT管理者がいる環境では、KIRポリシーを手動で適用する必要があります。

KB5055523ではこの他にも、Windows Helloの顔認証やPIN認証が利用できなくなる可能性がある問題、ARMシステムでMicrosoft Store版のRobloxを起動できないバグ、一部のCitrixソフトウェアでセキュリティアップデートのインストールに失敗する問題などが確認されています。
