Appleが開発者に対し2019年2月27日以降、Apple Developerアカウントにサインインする際、2ファクタ認証が必須になると通知していることがわかりました(MacRumors)。
AppleはApple Developer Programに参加している開発者に対して本日、以下のような文面のメールを送信しています。
in an effort to keep your account more secure, two-factor authentication will be required to sign in to your Apple Developer account and Certificates, Identifiers & Profiles starting February 27, 2019. This extra layer of security for your Apple ID helps ensure that you're the only person who can access your account. If you haven't already enabled two-factor authentication for your Apple ID, please learn more and update your security settings.
アカウントをより安全に保つために2019年2月27日以降、Apple Developerアカウントおよび証明書、識別子、およびプロファイルにサインインするには2ファクタ認証が必要になります。 この変更によりアカウントにアクセスできる唯一の人であることを確実にします。Apple IDに対して2ファクタ認証をまだ有効にしていない場合は、詳細を確認してセキュリティ設定を更新してください。
2ファクタ認証はApple IDの認証を二重化してセキュリティを強化し、パスワードが他人にもれても本人以外はアカウントにアクセスできなくする認証方式です。すでに利用している方も多いかもしれませんが、まだ設定していない方は早めに変更しておいた方がよさそうです。
