Version 3.7.6 of iTerm2 was built on October 15, 2026.
Version 3.7.5 was accidentally built without the
bug fixes below. This release includes them.
Improvements:
- The Companion setup wizard no longer asks for an
API key when AI already works, or when you chose
a model manually in Settings > General > AI. If
that model isn’t set up yet, the wizard says so
and lets you finish setup anyway.
- AI API keys are now sent automatically only to
their own provider’s servers. Before, the
Automatic API key choice could send your OpenAI
key to a gateway such as OpenRouter or a company
gateway hosted on Azure. Models you already set
