IntelがWi-Fi 7対応ハードウェア向けの最初のWindows 11ドライバーをリリースしました(Neowin)。
Windows 11 Wi-Fi driver version 23.0は、同社のIntelのWi-Fi 7製品であるIntel Wi-Fi 7 BE202とIntel Wi-Fi 7 BE200をサポートするための専用のドライバーとなっています。ただし、Wi-Fi 7は、OSのサポートが保留されているため現在利用できず、ドライバーをインストールするとWi-Fi 7製品はWi-Fi 6Eの機能で動作するとのこと。
Important Notice
- This software is dedicated only for the Intel® Wi-Fi 7 products - Intel® Wi-Fi 7 BE202 and Intel® Wi-Fi 7 BE200. Please do not install this software on the other Intel® wireless products.
- The Wi-Fi 7 is not currently available because of pending OS support. As a result, after installing the drivers, the Intel® Wi-Fi 7 products function with Wi-Fi 6E capabilities on Windows 11*.
Purpose
The 23.0.5 package installs the Windows 11* Wi-Fi drivers for the following Intel® Wireless Adapters:
Windows 11*
- 23.0.5.7 for Intel® Wi-Fi 7 BE202 and Intel® Wi-Fi 7 BE200

現時点では、Wi-Fi 7規格はまだ正式なものではありませんが、2024年に最終的に認証をクリアする見込みです。最近の報道では、MicrosoftはWindows 11とWindows 10でWi-Fi 7をサポートする予定だと伝えられています。Wi-Fi 7はWi-Fi 6E製品と比較して最大2.4倍の高速転送規格として期待されています。
