Vimの生みの親として知られるBram Moolenaar氏が62歳で死去した事がわかりました(slashdot、Hacker News、Reddit)。
同氏の家族によるVim-announce Google Groupへの投稿によると、2023年8月3日に「ここ数週間で急速に進行した病状により」亡くなったとのこと。葬儀はオランダで行われるそうです。

It is with a heavy heart that we have to inform you that Bram Moolenaar passed away on 3 August 2023.
Bram was suffering from a medical condition that progressed quickly over the last few weeks.Bram Moolenaarが2023年8月3日に逝去したことを、謹んでお知らせいたします。
Bram は、ここ数週間で急速に進行した病状に苦しんでいました。Bram dedicated a large part of his life to VIM and he was very proud of the VIM community that you are all part of.
ブラムは人生の大部分をVIMに捧げ、皆さんが所属するVIMコミュニティをとても誇りに思っていた。
We as family are now arranging the funeral service of Bram which will take place in The Netherlands and will be held in the Dutch lanuage. The extact date, time and place are still to be determined.
