This fifth beta again includes a few improvements. These are mostly some cleanup, code refactoring, and a few additional fixes. Nothing major has changed. As always, see the changelog below for full details.

Note: We're currently en route to preparing a final and stable release of Zettlr 4.0, so please report any bugs that you deem critical as soon as possible. This might be the last beta release before 4.0 stable.

Full TableEditor Rewrite

This release contains a full rewrite of the TableEditor. The old implementation
of the TableEditor had many bugs and inconveniences that made working with
Markdown tables barely less cu

Root privilege usage has been overhauled. mas now:

• requires root privileges only when absolutely necessary
• requests root privileges if they have not yet been granted
• allows root privileges granted during a call to mas to remain valid pursuant to the user's sudo credential timeout setting
• calls sudo from the executable mas binary, obviating the need for the now-removed zsh wrapper
• allows all commands to work properly if they are called with a root effective user
  • this includes commands that previously worked properly only if called with a non-root effective user (i.e. not called via sudo)

Fixes

• Fix an issue where the default syntax setting reverted to Plain Text after a short time when set to None.

PeaZip 10.8.0 overhauls previewing items inside archives, enabling preview features for more archive formats (open with associated application or with custom apps), and also adding to all formats the option to preview items in archive with "File tools" functions (checksum / hash, meta-scan, hex and text preview, ...), and with the integrated image viewer.

Alongside many other updates and fixes the new release improves handling RAR and TAR archives.

Backed are updated with Pea 1.28 and Brotli 1.2.0.

Sources are compiled with Lazarus 4.x, and are still compatible with Lazarus 3.x and 2.x.

The integrated image viewer component, previewing a picture inside a ZIP archive.
The GUI is customized setting the Postmodern style from the Style "..." menu.
